Mansion Beach: A Scenic Block Island Getaway

About Mansion Beach

Once home to the grand estate of Edward F. Searles, Mansion Beach still holds its charm even though the mansion itself was lost to a fire in the 1960s. Located at the northern end of Crescent Beach, this stretch of sand is one of the most picturesque spots on Block Island. Known for being less crowded than its southern counterparts, Mansion Beach offers larger waves, making it a great destination for body surfing and beachcombing.

To reach Mansion Beach, drive about three miles down Corn Neck Road and turn onto the dirt road marked by the Mansion Beach Road sign. Follow it to the end, where you’ll find a spacious parking area built around the mansion’s former foundation. A short path leads you directly to the beach. Please note that mopeds are not allowed on the dirt road. If you’re seeking a more peaceful and scenic beach experience on Block Island, Mansion Beach is a must-visit.
